Purr Offers Up New Awards/Special Event Parties with Gaysha Starr

November 13, 2017• byMichael Strangeways

PurrAwardsParties

Purr is settling in to their new home in Seattle’s Montlake neighborhood and offering up a variety of beloved old programming (like their Monday/Tuesday night Karaoke shows with Black Nail Productions) and extensive use of their 18 flat screen tvs by showing videos at night and football games when scheduled. They have a ramped up food menu (and their big Saturday/Sunday brunch) and are bringing in old friends like Dolly & the DJ to entertain monthly.

They just announced a new event series, and it’s very special. I’ll let the Diva/Hostess have the honors:

Hello! There is nothing I love more than award shows and red carpets, witty banter during the commercial breaks and a sparkly dress (or two) and now thanks to Barbie Roberts and the Staff at Purr, I get to host a series of special shows starting THIS Sunday with the American Music Awards.

Join me half an hour before each show airs to grab a cocktail, see a number and settle into their new Montlake space and let’s add to your SundayFunday!

Xo,
GS

Yes, the glamorous Gaysha Starr will be hosting screening parties for televised awards shows, pageants and special events like the Super Bowl starting with this coming Sunday’s AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS on November 19th followed by the Miss Universe Pageant on Sunday, November 26th. The series will get going in full force in January with all the big entertainment award shows including the Golden Globes on January 7th, 2018 followed by the Screen Actor’s Guild Awards on January 21st and then the Grammy Awards on January 28th. The Super Bowl takes the stage on February 4th and the Academy Awards on March 4th.

There’ll be prizes, drink specials and entertainment.

Check out their social media for updated info.

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
