Here’s a fun benefit to be a part of later this month…and, for a good cause!
It’s the Queen Pin Bowling Classic, the first annual drag queen bowling tournament, with 100% of the proceeds to benefit Burien Pride’s LGBTQ College Scholarship Fund and it’s happening Saturday, August 25th at ACME Bowl in Tukwila. (100 Andover Park West, Tukwila, WA, 98188)
100% of the proceeds go to Burien Pride’s new LGBTQ College Scholarship Fund, so your participation helps LGBTQ students get an education…and, there’s two ways to participate. As a bowler, or just come watch and hang out and drink beer and cheer for the bowlers along with your chief host, ALEKSA MANILA along with co-hosts, Miss U.T.O.P.I.A Seattle, Atasha Manilla; Empress of Seattle, Donna Tella Howe; Miss Gay API International, Tanya Rachinee and La Femme Magnifique International, LaSaveona Hunt.
You’re ENCOURAGED to drag it up, or at least be dressed festively, but it’s not required to participate.
SNATCH your wigs, er, TICKETS, over HERE!
And, more info on the info down below!
Who will be crowned “Belle of the Balls” on August 25th, at the first annual Queen Pin Bowling Classic? Dress up and bowl, or wear your street clothes –
come as you are! Come for an evening of fun, frolic, music, and libation, featuring the fabulous Aleksa Manila and more incredible drag performers.
Reserve your own team of four, or be assigned to a team upon arrival. Spectator seating is also available— so if bowling isn’t your thing, you can still participate in all of the fun and festivities. Signature cocktails and food will be available for sale at the venue. Prizes will be awarded for Best Dressed, High Score, and more!
All proceeds from the event will go towards Burien Pride’s LGBTQ College Scholarship Fund. This scholarship is awarded annually to students with financial need who identify as LGBTQ+ in Burien’s local community. The scholarship gives them the opportunity to pursue a degree from an accredited college, university, or technical/vocational program.
This event is 21 and over, and ID is required.
