It’s T-Day Week which means…lots of stuff. For many, it means a shortass work week (and we’re hoping you get PAID for those two days off). For retail workers, it’s the start of Hell Season. For some, it’s time to hop on the plane, train, automobile to merrily go off to Grandmother’s house for an Orgy of Food, Family and Black Friday shopping madness. Some LGBTQ folks make their own T-Day plans, skipping the family dynamic for a vacation, or celebrating with friends.
If you’re stuck for ideas on non-home based fun, here are a few options this week in Seattle to get you outside of the house. Some of them involve different kinds of “Stuffing”.
The Wildrose is starting T-Day fun early this Tuesday, November 22 with the oddly named “Pink Taco Lez Gay Thanks!” which seems to involve burlyq, tacos, music and cheap tacos…we’re not sure what this has to do with Thanksgiving but we give them credit for clever marketing….maybe they have Turkey Tacos?
The Cuff Complex seems to be very excited about the holiday…they have their annual “Pre T-Day T-Dance” on Wednesday, November 23 with DJ Stacey Cooks, then they’ll be open on Thanksgiving itself for “Spanksgiving” the beloved annual fundraiser involving…well, SPANKING!
“Spanksgiving” At The Cuff is a fundraiser put on by GLPW ( Generic Leather Productions of Wa. )
and their Title Holders .. NW Leather Sir / NW Leather boy.
Thanksgiving evening Nov.24th 9pm -12am
Buy your self ( or Your friends ) some trouble, or buy yourself out!
Spankings provided by : Ryan & Danelle
Benefiting : Leather Leadership Conference
WE CAN’T WAIT! Who doesn’t love a good ass whippin’ to kick off the Yuletide Season!
SQUEEEEEEE!
The kink continues Friday and Saturday at The Cuff with Seattle Men In Leather’s annual “Daddy/Daddy Boy Contest”. If you like hunky Daddy’s and their “Boy’s” then you won’t want to miss the leathery fun. (Personally, I want to see Seattle’s version of “Mother/Boy” the memorable mother/son contest featured on “Arrested Development”….)
If you’re stranded without a place to go eat on Thanksgiving itself, don’t fret; you do have options. New SGS advertiser, The Grill on Broadway has their annual buffet from 2pm to 8pm. Here’s Grill owner, Matthew Walsh’s invite to come chow down:
Well its that time of year again! Here we go into the 2011 Holiday Season, starting with THANKSGIVING!!! If The Grill on Broadway is too pretty and genteel for your dining needs, and you prefer to eat with hairy/sweaty/bearish hunks, the hairy/sweaty/bearish hunks at Diesel (not an advertiser: hint, hint!) are also serving up a delicious buffet on Thursday:
We are so excited to be having Traditional Thanksgiving dinner at Diesel with our friends & family! Appetizers will start at 4:30 & **dinner will be served from 6pm to 9 pm.** Dinner will include; Turkey, Mashed potatoes & Gravy, stuffing, whole cranberry sauce, Green Beans sauteed in butter & mushroom sauce with almonds, plus Pumpkin Pie with whipped cream for dessert! all for $12.00! BIG HUGE HUGS and a Happy Thanksgiving to all!!

If that’s too fancy for ya, you can hang out with the sad hipsters at Linda’s:
Drown your family-induced anxiety with our Thanksgiving day special! A Hungry Man tv dinner, Hamm’s and a shot of whiskey for $10! The Lonely Hearts Thanksgiving special is only available on Thanksgiving and we’ll be open 7pm-2am! Who knows, maybe we’ll even have gravy wrestling!
And, to wrap up your Black Friday post T-Day shopping Hell, there’s always “Comeback” and naturally they’re trying to ride the gravy train by calling it the “Get Stuffed” Comeback…Once again, no turkeys are involved.
Whatever you do for “fun” this week, make sure you do it wearing a condom!
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
