LeFaux Cast/Crew Mourn The Loss Of Kiki Sanchez/Enrique Mendez

Sources report, Seattle dancer/performer Enrique Mendez died early Sunday morning in a traffic accident in Mexico. Mr. Mendez also performed as “Kiki Sanchez”. He was 22 years old.

Seattle’s gay social media scene blew up Sunday, April 27 as the news spread that local performer Kiki Sanchez aka Enrique Mendez had died earlier in the day in a car accident in Mexico. A dancer and performer at LeFaux, the popular and long-running Vegas style drag show at Julia’s On Broadway, Mr. Mendez was apparently on vacation in Mexico visiting family when the accident occurred. We have few details, but apparently the performer was the only fatality though others were apparently injured. Enrique Mendez was 22 years old.

Upon hearing the news, friends and co-workers of Mr. Mendez began leaving tributes for the popular performer:

Words cannot express how much I am going to miss my sister and best friend.Kiki was my biggest fan. She supported me in ways I could never imagine. Life is so unfair sometimes, but trust when I say that Kiki will be everywhere. I love you, girl. Party in peace, because resting was never your thing!

Details are sketchy to the locale of the accident and as of this post, little is known about any of the circumstances leading to the tragedy. And, no information has been released by the family or LeFaux on plans for a funeral or memorial service.
