Twin Peaks turns 20 and L.A. honors the occasion with an awesome art show!

February 16, 2011• bySeattle Gay Scene

Tim Biskup "Walk with Bob". It's still available and a steal at $25,000.

Uh, SEATTLE is Twin Peaks country…why didn’t someone around here think of this? It’s a brilliant idea. “In The Trees: Twin Peaks 20th Anniversary Art Exhibit” was on display in Los Angeles at the iconic Clifton’s Cafeteria in downtown L.A. last weekend for one weekend only, sadly. It featured work by major artists like Glenn Barr, Tim Biskup, Paul Chatem, Elizabeth McGrath and pieces from Twin Peaks creator David Lynch, (also an acclaimed artist) and actors Richard Beymer and Grace Zabriskie.

1) I would have given my left nut to see this show.

2) Can’t Seattle do something like this? Both L.A. and San Francisco kick our asses when it comes to cool art shows like this.

3) It’s hard to believe it’s been OVER twenty years since Twin Peaks premiered…seems like YESTERDAY!

Is Agent Cooper still stuck in Limbo World? Is Josie still a drawer pull on a nightstand? And, that cast was VERY hot for awhile, yet none of them made it very big…maybe, a word of warning to the Glee kids?

Paul Chatem "A Damn Good Cup of Coffee" acrylic on wood, with working wood gears. This piece SOLD!

Stella Im Hultberg "Audrey" acrylic and colored pencil on panel. It's only $2k.
