We received word last night from the Steering Committee of the Seattle Red Dress Party, the annual benefit for Lifelong AIDS Alliance normally held in the fall, has been delayed until February of 2012. (Go here for our coverage of last year’s event with Denise and photos by Ben Zheng.) Here’s the release:
As you know the 4th Annual Seattle Red Dress Party was scheduled for November 5th, 2011. After some serious thought about timing and the SRDP Steering Committee’s desire to put on the absolutely best event possible we’ve decided to push the date until February 18, 2012. There are many reasons for the change of date, but the main one is that we want to bring Seattle something they haven’t seen before, and continue to add more entertainment and benefits to our guests, beneficiaries and sponsors. We will be launching a new splash page on the Seattle Red Dress Party website and update the Facebook groups in the coming days.Ticket sales are scheduled to launch on December 1st, 2011…World AIDS Day. We would be honored if you could spread the word of this event to your friends, families and supporters. If you need anything from us to promote your involvement in the event or if you have any suggestions to make this the best SRDP ever please don’t hesitate to shoot us a message.Sincerely,Your Seattle Red Dress Party Steering Committee
The good news is, this gives us more time to find a Red Dress to fit our fat ass!
We’ll keep you posted.
