Here’s a clever way to raise money…auction off a chance to have a celebrity encounter with the cast of a beloved television show…in this case, the much lauded cast of TRANSPARENT, the hugely successful Amazon TV show about a family reacting to the news that the head of the family is transgender. The clever folks at the National Center for Transgender Equality have teamed up with the team at Transparent, produced at Paramount Studios in Hollywood, California, for this once in blue moon chance to hang out with stars Jeffrey Tambor, Amy Landecker, Jay Duplass, Kathryn Hahn, Alexandra Billings, and Bradley Whitford on set later this month.

You only have a few days left to bid…currently, the bid is at $2100. Go to Charitybuzz to make your bid NOW!

It should also be noted that winning this auction ONLY gets you an encounter with the Transparent team including a meal. It does NOT include transportation TO Paramount Studios or accommodation if you’re coming in from out of the Los Angeles area.

Dear Supporter,

Do you love the Amazon show Transparent?

We’re auctioning a set of 10 tickets to join the Pfeffermans for an intimate brunch on April 23 in Hollywood!

How intimate? The brunch is for the 10 ticket holders and 20 cast and crew members. I’ll be there as well. And all proceeds benefit our work here at the National Center for Transgender Equality.

Expect overeating, blurry boundaries, loving arguments, and personal interactions with cast & crew, including Jeffrey Tambor, Amy Landecker, Jay Duplass, Kathryn Hahn, Alexandra Billings, Bradley Whitford and more. Food provided by generous donation from Canter’s Deli, pants with elastic waists strongly encouraged.

To bid, check out our posting on Charitybuzz.

Hurry! The auction ends April 19th.

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
