So the queens are back for another episode, after saying goodbye’s to Phoenix. Delta wiped away her message to the queens and gives her bet that Raja is next to go. This episode would not be complete without some hot, spicy, powerful female guest judges including the hot Susan Powter, the spicy Billy B, the powerful La Toya Jackson.
For the mini-challenge, the queens teamed up in groups of two to make the best leotard outfits out of duck tape. The teams are Mimi, Delta, and Stacy, Alexis and Mariah, Raja and Yara, Carmen and Manila, Shangela and India. After power runway their creations for RuPaul, the winners are announced to be Carmen and Manila. So what do the queens have in store for the main challenge? Why making a soulful, highly spiritual work out video! Right off the bat, Mimi Imfurst is bursting with Broadway excitement and over-the-top idea’s that makes the other girly boys roll their eyes to the back of their heads.
Mimi come on and get yourself together! Obviously, Mimi is the “high maintenence” queen this season; last season was Tyra Sanchez and she ended up as the winner. We all remember the singing incident in the work room, right?. So the queens have their jobs in their videos and they begin to put on their face for their workout with Susan Powter (we learned that Susan Powter used to weigh in at almost 300 pounds! Now that’s dedication ladies!). Out of all the workouts, my favorite workout ladies were Shangela, Yara, Delta and Raja! But what about India, Mimi, Carmen and Stacy? To be honest, I was really bored and all at the same time it looked like RuPaul was going to shred off some heads.
That’s a wrap! But only for a few hours of sleep do these queens get because for the mainstage runway show, they have to show off their favorite body part or assets by using their own costumes and style. All the girls looked fabulous, stunning and fierce on the runway. As it turns out, Alexis Mateo won the main challenge (she recieved immunity from elimination for next week’s episode). Leaving India Ferrah and Mimi Imfurst (finally) in the bottom two to lip sync for their life (does this mean they are both bottom queens?). During their performance Mimi tries to strip her outer dress and it gets caught on her heel. Her lip sync was not that impressive (it was highly over-dramatic, just like her personality) and I was really enjoying what India was delivering until I got distracted by the sloppy styles of Mimi Imfurst.
Mimi literally picks up India Ferrah on her shoulders and carries her onto the stage! (WTF?!? Is this a wrestling match? But the editing totally made her look like she’d been having an out of body “Hulk” experience). This was mere preposterousness and I could not believe that this queen would pull that trick out of the bag (do you want to call it a trick?). Poor India started screaming for Mimi to put her down!!!
Mimi, Drag is not a contact sport
Mimi Imfurst is sent home and India is saved as a contestant for another week. Still, after everything, Mimi does not understand how she became into the bottom two. Oh, Mimi, it’s okay. We still love you! Inside the Interior Illusions Lounge the queens dig deep with Stacy to give her the strength she needs to show her true colors (Hey! can we just give Cindi Lauper a call?). Stacy, girl, just be yourself and let those wings fly! Shangela finds it hard to talk dish about boys (she’s been out of a relationships for two years) and Raja needs some quality competitors to spice up the soup and spit some fire to the show. It’s quite obvious that she’s getting bored and needs something a bit more delicious to seep her teeth into. What will these queens have in store for us next week? Let’s not forget about the enticing party that Lobby Bar throws each Monday and airs this show two hours before the rest of the country.
