The A-List Franchise on LOGO aired it’s finale for the Dallas crew and there is still the reunion show next week, but I ask, are people still watching? I know many, many people in Seattle who have spiteful and hurtful things to say about this show and it truly makes me laugh. But haven’t you noticed that none of the cast member from either show (Dallas and New York) has ever come to the greater state of Washington for their magical debut appearances? I wonder why? We adore and value drag queens and even our own kind are warned off by the prissy prima-donna twinks that are acting out like they have no fathers. That is not how we prefer to be represented and this show has disgusted many people, especially here in Seattle.
From the start this show was suppose to represent the community at large and give this community of ours a voice to the greater world. What a joke! The A-List crews can now, hopefully, hangup their boots and cameras because I really don’t see a future for the show. Is this show really nessessary, considering all the other A-gay type of shows on the market…
Even as an exploitation device, “The A-List” is woefully late. Logo bills the show as the gay version of Bravo’s “Real Housewives” franchise, which is an obvious redundancy. Besides “Project Runway” and “Glee,” the “Real Housewives” shows already are the gayest shows on television, dramas which are engineered and then leered over by that Cheshire A-gay himself, Andy Cohen, Bravo’s vice president and talk-show host.

Let’s face reality people! The A-List franchise is a perfect example of the entertainment industry, especially the theater industry, old news but different director. If RuPaul’s Drag Race is indeed feeding life into the network, why can’t this television network create some fresh, new and worth-while programming? I say they should open up their proposal pool to anyone and everyone so they can get well-rounded programming for the world to enjoy. However, this show is widely enjoyed by people in other parts of the country and I know a producers mind – if the ratings are up, then so is the show.
